Next week, the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers continue. In November, we will see the last two rounds of the qualifiers, which will take place in Germany next summer. Some national teams have already secured their place and are anxiously awaiting the games in November. What are these representations?

List of UEFA Euro 2024 Qualified Teams

Germany

As the host of the next Euro, Germany has already secured a place in this prestigious competition. Several disappointing competitions are behind Germany. At this championship, the goal is clear. Germany wants to win the title on home soil. This will be Germany’s 14th appearance at the European Championship. So far, Germany has been the champion three times and vice-champion three more times.

The Germans did not make a name for themselves in several previous major competitions

At the last championship, she was eliminated by England already in the round of 16. Unlike other national teams, Germany played only friendly matches. The form was terrible and the guild paid Hans Flick and replaced him on the bench with one of the most talented coaches today, Julien Nagelsmann. He brought some progress, but it will take a lot of effort for Germany to return to the level it was at ten years ago when it won the world title.

Austria

In addition to Germany, placement in the Euro has already been secured by another country where German is the mother tongue. Unlike Germany, which is one of the best European teams, we did not have the opportunity to watch Austria too many times at the Euro. Austria has only participated in the Euros three times so far. Like Germany, Austria was eliminated two years ago in the round of 16, which is also Austria’s greatest success at European championships.

Austria did a great job in qualifying for this Euro

Their coach is a German, Ralf Ragnick, who sat on the Manchester United bench before Austria. He didn’t have much success in England, but he did a routine job with Austria, and two rounds before the end he already secured a place in the competition that will be held in the country where the largest number of players from the Austrian national team is competing.

Belgium

Belgium played in the same group as Austria, and it was with the victory against this rival in October that they secured placement at the Euro. Belgium will participate in the European Championship for the seventh time, and this national team will try to make a step forward compared to the previous two championships when the competition ended in the quarter-finals.

Belgium has a very talented new generation

Much was expected from Belgium at the previous European and World Championships, but a great result was missing. There was a change of generations and the national team is now led by Domenico Tedesco from the bench. The Italian who grew up in Germany is doing a good job so far and we will see if he can bring the first major title for Belgium. The biggest success for Belgium at the Euro was the final in 1980 when they were defeated by West Germany.

England

As in the previous qualifiers for major competitions, England did not have any problems to qualify for the Euro this time either. England will participate in the European Championship for the 11th time and in Germany they will try to finally get the much-desired title that eluded them two years ago when they were defeated by Italy at Wembley.

As usual, England had no problems in the qualifications

It was with the victory against Italy in October at the same stadium that England secured their trip to Germany. England has been on the rise in recent years and fans are hoping that the time has finally come for a major trophy they have been waiting for since 1966 when England won their only World Cup title.

France

Like England and France, they will play in the European Championship 11 times each. Unlike the previously mentioned national team, France won the Euro title twice. After a great performance and the world title in 2018, France disappointed the fans with a poor performance at the previous Euro where they were already eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

France will once again be one of the favorites for the title

They played the World Cup final again but were defeated by Argentina. We will see if the French are ready to repeat the achievement of 2020 when they were defeated by Portugal in the Euro final or to go one step further. This should be the last competition in which the national team will be led by Didier Deschamps.

Portugal

Portugal will participate in the Euro for the ninth time. We all remember their title from 2016 when they had a weak start but then they knocked out great national teams one after another. Cristiano Ronaldo then suffered a terrible injury in the final against France, but even without him, Portugal became European champions for the first time.

Portugal had an unreal performance in the qualifiers

Cristiano Ronaldo is the player with the most appearances and the most goals scored in European championships. After the World Cup, Portugal changed their coach and are now led by the former Belgium coach, Roberto Martinez. This national team played a great qualification and in eight games achieved all eight victories with as many as 32 goals scored and only two goals conceded.

Scotland

Unlike the previously mentioned national teams, which were mostly expected to do the job routinely, few believed that Scotland would secure a place at the Euros before the final rounds. Although they had Spain as their rival in the group, Scotland did a great job for the second time in a row and for the fourth time in history, they will play at the European Championship.

Few expected that Scotland would already be at the Euros two rounds before the end

In Germany, Scotland will try to get past the group stage for the first time. It will also be an opportunity for Scotland to achieve its first victory at the Euro since 1996. Two related participations in European championships show that Scotland has made significant progress compared to an earlier period, and we will see what the ultimate reach of this national team is at the tournament in Germany.

Spain

As mentioned, Spain was in the same group as Scotland and, as expected, managed to secure a place at the next Euro. Spain will play in the European Championship for the 12th time and has been European champion three times so far. The same number of titles was won by Germany, so these two representatives are the record holders for the number of titles won.

Spain is another favorite for the Euro final

She won two titles in 2008 and 2012, and then, as expected, the fall of the Spanish national team followed. The rise followed again two years ago when Spain was eliminated in the semi-finals but then experienced a big failure in Qatar. The coach has been changed and Spain led by Luis de la Fuente is expected to be competitive for a high ranking in Germany.

Turkey

It was not expected that Turkey would secure a place at the Euros before the final rounds, considering that they played in the group together with Croatia, which was third in the world. It still happened, and while the Croats are worried about being placed in Germany, Turkey can already pack its bags.

While Croatia is worried, Turkey is already on the Euro

By the way, we will be watching Turkey for the sixth time at the European Championship, and this national team achieved its greatest success in 2008, when it reached the semi-finals. At the previous championship, Turkey finished the competition already in the group stage, so they will want to make a step forward compared to their previous performance in a country where they will have a lot of support from the fans.
